Once, our rivers were the lifelines of our communities — flowing with stories, sustaining livelihoods, and nurturing ecosystems that thrived in harmony. Today, many of these rivers, including Sungai Juru, bear the weight of rapid urbanisation, pollution, and neglect.
But this is not a story of loss. This is a story of revival.
Penang River Run 2026 is a collective step forward towards restoring the dignity of our rivers. Every stride taken by our runners is a statement: that we care, that we are responsible, and that change is possible when a community comes together.
